Key elements of the role:
Profitability
- Responsibility for meeting set standards, without exceeding the budgets
- To ensure monthly orders are within budget
- To look at ways of increasing standards, as well as identifying potential cost savings
- To take on full responsibility for all administration associated with payroll, following set Company procedures
- To keep wages costs within budget, ensuring no shift is overstaffed
Service
- Liaise with the Client to build relationships and ensure satisfaction with the service provided
- To ensure that quality audits are completed to a high standard and in line with agreed frequency
- To ensure all customer queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective manner
- To manage staffing across the site to ensure set quality standards are met
- To keep your managerinformed of key operational issues
Team Management
- To ensure that the Initial Facilities and Health and Safety Policies are properly implemented and adhered to
- To ensure the correct number of staff are working during all shifts and are allocated to the appropriate tasks
- To recruit, train and develop Cleaning Operatives to ensure a high calibre of capable staff
- To regularly review and appraise the performance of staff, providing coaching or training solutions as required
- To deal with staff issues such as sickness and absenteeism, under performance and poor conduct following Company procedures, keeping accurate records
- To communicate business and Company issues to direct reports and engender a good team spirit
- To attend meetings and training sessions to meet personal development needs
Administration
- To ensure payroll accuracy is maintained and that payroll costs are well controlled within budget
- To ensure all staff files are kept up to date, and all the correct documentation is in them (including eligibility to work documentation, contract of employment and training records)
- To ensure that payroll and signing in procedures are strictly adhered to
- To upload daily all audit scores and take corrective action to ensure standards are met
- To communicate and liaise with suppliers/engineers over equipment and machinery requirements
- To provide accurate information to the Contract Manager, meeting the required deadline
- To ensure that all Company Policies and Procedures are fully implemented, adhered to and communicated
