Sales Manager

Job Purpose

To produce and implement a Sales and Marketing plan for the unit and collate information into an action plan to achieve the sales targets

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maximise income generation for the Company
  • Drives the development and implementation of the sales and marketing strategy
  • Effectively manage the venue diary to ensure optimum profitability
  • Conduct show rounds with prospective clients
  • Prepare and produce documentation required to complete and close the sales process
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team to actively promote sales opportunities and exchange information
  • Undertake research to identify opportunities and threats in the market place
  • Attend networking events, trade exhibitions and promotional events to gather market information and promote the brand and venue
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity to recommend necessary tactical action
  • Contribute information and concepts to the strategic planning process
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, implementing procedures and activities to compile client feedback
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of the sales process from initial enquiry through to event delivery
  • Produce weekly sales forecasts for Head Office
  • Produce revenue reports for quarterly client meetings
  • Utilise the computerised booking system to ensure that information is effectively communicated to all relevant stakeholders
  • Produce activity reports as required by Senior Management
  • Stage manage promotional events as appropriate
  • Utilise IT resources to produce all documentation and reports as required
  • Utilise the computerised booking system to maintain an accurate database of all clients and potential clients
  • Ensure that all promotional and marketing materials, documents and correspondence adhere to the corporate image
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times
  • Assist in the production of unit budgets and re-forecasts as required
  • Implement Company Policies and Procedures
