Key Elements of a Night Manager
Customer Service
- To ensure that the specification is fully implemented and adhered to
- To ensure that a consistently high standard of service is delivered to ensure the KPI targets are met
- To undertake regular client contact, build relationships and ensure satisfaction with the service delivery
- To undertake site audits as required, but also to ensure all site personnel are complying with customer service/satisfaction systems
- To ensure all customer queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and that the client is kept fully informed of what action has/is being taken
- Identify opportunities for new business, additions to service as well as non-contractual work
Team Management
- To ensure that both Initial Facilities and Health and Safety Policies are properly implemented and adhered to.
- To recruit, train and develop Night Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives in line with Company standards.
- To monitor and review the performance of Night Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives to ensure high standards are delivered and maintained.
- To deal with staff issues such as sickness and absenteeism, under performance and poor conduct following Company procedures, keeping accurate records.
- To control labour turnover by ensuring the retention of good staff.
- To ensure a workplace that encourages team working and treats people with dignity and respect.
- To monitor and arrange periodic work.
- To review the running of contracts to identify ways in which productivity can be improved whilst maintaining standards.
- To ensure that payroll and signing in procedures are strictly adhered to.
- To communicate Company and branch information to Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives.
Administrative Responsibility
- To identify means of reducing costs on the designated sites
- To identify and take corrective action on variations to site budget
- To ensure payroll information is processed quickly and accurately, according to Company procedure
- To liaise with the Contract Manager on all key operational issues
- To resolve all machinery repair issues and ensure maximum availability of machinery
- To maintain the C8 file at all sites
- To ensure the completion of all contractual requirements on site
- To ensure that all Company Policies and Procedures are fully implemented, adhered to and communicated
