International Senior Operations Manager

Job Purpose

To manage profitability within Company standard and promote in the best image the designated group of catering business and to assist in the development of new business

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To promote high standard of food, service and hygiene in line with company standards and client objectives
  • Complies with its statutory obligations
  • To ensure that administrative systems are operated in full
  • Develop International action plans and organisation structure
  • Plan structured visits to locations ensuring client’s requirements are fulfilled
  • To attend regular progress meetings with the Managers and other meetings as required
  • Financial Administration
  • To work within the limits of the location budgets and client objective, maximise use of resources and develop business regional management.
  • To establish and control regional annual budget and agree with Manager
  • Ensure each Chef Managers are given financial targets relating to the client’s budgets
  • Ensure weekly performance against targets is monitored thus ensuring management control of accounting procedures
  • Ensure purchasing policies and procedures are complied with
  • Ensure outstanding accounts are pursued
  • To ensure all sections of the Company Audit Procedures are completed for all locations within the twelve month period
  • To ensure compliance and client policies and procedures
  • Plan client visits
  • Working closely to build and maintain close working relationship with the client, ensuring contact with the highest possible level, so as to establish client understanding and satisfaction with current operation
  • Seek to develop strong working relationship and to explain policies and standards
  • Positively check on a regular basis, client’s satisfaction and needs, reporting the outcome to the Manager
  • Lead re-tender proposals ensuring support from the UK team,
  • To provide direct and indirect leadership and motivation for all staff improvement in job performance, satisfaction and development
  • To maintain and develop good employee relations
  • Responsible for recruitment and selection in liaison with HR COREcruitment
  • Ensure that all Employees attend company induction
  • Responsible for ensuring that disciplinary and grievance procedures are strictly followed
  • Ensures no dismissal without HR authorisation
  • Responsible for ensuring all training is in accordance with agreed plan and that records are regularly kept
  • Responsible for recommending salary and wage increases
  • Recommends to the Manager Candidates for promotion
  • Ensure succession plan is up to date at all times and communicated to HR
  • Obtains guidance from HR on difficult personnel issues
  • To confirm in writing discussions at employee meetings
  • Termination of employees to be in accordance with policies
  • Be aware of development affecting current and future business
  • Within the overall plans and priorities of the division to plan for increased business with each assigned location, on a basis which is jointly advantageous to the client
  • Prepare reports as and when required for the Manager
  • Enforce Client policies and procedures for ensuring the Health, Safety and Welfare of all persons connected with the units
  • Professional Conduct & compliance
  • The International Operations Director shall not offer, pay or agree to pay any commissions, fees or grant any rebates to any employees or officers nor favor officers, directors, employees agents or representatives of the Client with gifts or entertainment of significant cost or value nor enter into any business arrangements with employees or officers of the Client without prior written consent
  • Courtesies of nominal value and social invitations customary and proper under the circumstances are not unethical as long as they imply no business obligation and involve no extraordinary expense
  • The International Operations Director shall not offer, pay or agree to pay, directly or indirectly, any consideration of any nature whatsoever to any official, agent or employee of any government or any department, agency or instrumentality of any government, or to any political party, or an official thereof, or to any candidate for political office in any country to influence the act, decision or omission of any such official, agent, employee, political party, political party official or candidate in his or its official capacity in connection with the performance of this Agreement, or the directing of business to any person
  • The International Operations Director shall not buy or sell any securities or options on the securities or any third party based on information acquired as a result of having a business relationship, when the information has not been released to the public
  • The International Operations Director agrees to act in the best interests of, in good faith and with reasonable care, and will ensure that no other commitments shall adversely affect their performance or the interests
  • The International Operations Director agrees to report criminal acts committed and ensure Professional knowledge, skills, initiative, innovation and personal image are sufficiently developed to fulfill the requirement of the position
  • The International Operations Director must at all times conform to the Business Conduct Policy
