Group Database Researcher

Job Purpose

To provide effective administrative and operational support; to enable Group Sales & Marketing Director to achieve targeted levels of sales

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Targeted tele-calling research to achieve sales
  • Effectively communicate with clients via telephone and written communication
  • Collate accurate contract details from client
  • Maintain an accurate and current database.
  • Identify and develop sources of potential clients
  • Research Potential clients to identify:
    • Basic contact details
    • The M.A.N./s
    • Nature of business
    • Parent Associate companies
    • Requirement for contract catering services
    • Requirement for products
    • Contract review criteria
  • Professionally and effectively employ sales skills to achieve targeted sales.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Contract Clients that builds commitment
  • Advise Chairman/ Group Sales and Marketing Director of Contract Client
  • feedback/comment relating to contract performance and market place perception
  • Develop and maintain relationships which benefit the client
  • Overcome client resistance/objections to products
  • Increase the level of sales and business mix from individual clients
  • Increase share of each identified appropriate market sector
  • Understand fully and communicate corporate objectives to clients
  • Be able to demonstrate a full knowledge of relevant selling points and benefits
  • Be able to match appropriate features and benefits to clients’ requirements
  • Effectively communicate the benefits
  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of competitor products, be able to high light their disadvantages and promote relevant benefits
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity and recommend any necessary tactical action.
  • Media & Press Relations
  • Build and maintain effective database of Media and Press contacts.
  • Initiate and manage consistent supply of information to Media outlets.
  • Manage invitations, acceptances and guest lists for Client Entertaining and
  • Promotional Events
  • Attend client events as appropriate
  • Facilitate effective communication channels between all companies to maximise sales opportunities
  • Liaise with other members of the Sales Team to actively promote sales opportunities, exchange information and increase professionalism
  • Advise Managing Directors/Venue Operations Managers of client feedback/comments relating to product content, pricing and Venue/Event performance
  • Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities
  • Plan personal diary to make effective use of working day
  • Provide time-phase qualified reports on achievement and activities
  • Maintain accurate records of all contacts with clients
  • Identify and recommend tactical action to Sales and Marketing Director in order to achieve all above
  • Maintain high standard of personal presentation
  • Represent in a professional manner at all times
  • Undertake all responsibilities with reference to procedures
  • Ensure safe working area and work procedures in line with Company policy
  • Undertake any reasonable duties as specified by Sales and Marketing Director
