Deputy Manager

Job Purpose

To work closely with the GM to push the business forward, increase sales, reach financial targets and maintain strong client relationships through Communication, Management, Business Leadership, Financial awareness, Driving performance, achieving results and creativity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety, food hygiene and company systems
  • Assured Safe Catering procedures
  • Risk Assessments
  • Cash handling procedures
  • Continuously updating notice boards to company standards
  • Oversee pest control and maintenance
  • Training and development
  • Monitoring induction
  • Identification and Planning of internal and external training
  • Monitoring and recording training
  • Actual training – Hygiene Habit and Manual Handling
  • Weekly briefings and team building
  • Monitoring sales mixes, payroll controls, P&L’s
  • Creation of accurate Profit and Loss account within set company standard time perimeters in absence of office manager
  • Mentoring and supporting the management and supervisory team
  • Monitoring Payroll and personal filing
  • Weekly wages comparisons, forecasting and controls
  • Unit mentor for disciplinary procedures
  • Recruitment and induction mentor
  • Bonus scheme administration
  • Operation and client relation
  • Group bookings – finalising dates, numbers and payment
  • Monitor signage and menu printing
  • Product display and packaging
  • Customer comment card analysis
  • Laundry control coordination
  • Management rotas
  • Customer complaint response
  • Weekly HOD meeting, agenda and minutes
  • Weekly meeting with client and GM regarding H&S issues, exhibitions, offers …
  • Working with GM in aspects of marketing and increasing sales throughout the Tower including signage, meal deals, discounts and offers
  • Responsible for unit in absence of GM
  • To carry out any reasonable request made by management
  • To attend any meeting or training session as required by management
