Customer Service Executive

Job Purpose

To achieve targeted levels of sales for Venue Reservations and associated venues

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Professionally and effectively employs sales skills to achieve targeted sales
  • Increase the level of sales and business mix direct from individual clients
  • and via third party bookers/agencies
  • Research and Database
  • Maintain an accurate and current database
  • Identify and develop sources of potential clients
  • Customer Contact
  • Effectively communicate with clients to gain commitment to purchase and products
  • Effectively communicate with clients via telephone, face-to-face and written
  • communication
  • Develop and maintain relationships which benefit client
  • Overcome client resistance/objections to products
  • Advise Sales and Marketing Director and Managing Directors of client
  • feedback/ comments relating to product content and pricing as well as companies performance
  • Enquiry Handling
  • Effectively employ sales skills to confirm profitable enquiries
  • Take accurate enquiry details from client
  • Maintain an effective tracking system for enquiries to confirmation or release stage
  • Evaluate and grade enquiries for profitability/suitability
  • Effectively communicate function details and client requirements to operations
  • Department Diary Management
  • Effectively manage Group and Venue diaries to ensure optimum profitability of
  • operation
  • Build and maintain database of Venue Clients
  • Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities
  • Achieve sales activities within specified time scales as directed by Group Sales and Marketing Director
  • Targeted tele-sales campaigns to achieve sales
  • Internal Communications Skills
  • Record, monitor and assess results of referred enquiries between companies
  • Identify and maintain database of 10 Key Clients
  • Effectively communicate with Key Clients via telephone, face-to-face and written communication to identify full potential for, and to gain maximum commitment to purchase products
  • Client Entertaining & Promotional Events
  • Represent on/in professional bodies & associations in order to maximise benefits of membership
  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity and recommend any necessary tactical action
  • Provide time-phased, qualified reports on achievement and activities
  • Plan diary to make effective use of working day
  • Maintain accurate records of all contacts with clients
  • Handle correspondence related to all selling activities
  • Maintain high standard of personal presentation
  • Represent company in a professional manner at all times
  • Liaise with other members of Sales Team to actively promote sales opportunities, exchange information and increase professionalism
  • Undertake all responsibilities with reference to procedures
  • Ensure safe working area and work procedures in line with Company’s
  • Health and Safety Policy
  • Obtain necessary authority for expenses and record same in line with Company Policy Undertake any reasonable duties as specified by Head of Venue Reservations/ Group
